With spring break coming and going for college students all around the country, one thing is for certain: spring is here! Alongside spring comes summer fever and counting down the days until the semester is over and free time arrives. This month’s March Mood Board from CollegeFashionista especially got me in the mood for warmer weather and plans of travel, which ultimately inspired me to go out looking for a Fashionista that was taking on the same mindset. I spotted this Fashionista after class making the seasonal change and instantly thought she had the best outfit for my concept!
One of my favorite things to do with the changing seasons is figuring out how to alter my wardrobe to fit the weather. This is why when I shop, I buy pieces that are versatile and that I can pair with a cardigan in the winter or flip-flops in the summer. I liked how this Fashionista paired her knee-high boots with her casual spring dress, making for a perfect changeover outfit from winter to spring. The detailed print of this dress, including the crisscross back to show some skin, is engaging and totally travel-worthy! She keeps her look sophisticated with her black bag and trendy fringe clutch. Big statement accessories like these, as well as her aviator shades, can do so much for an outfit.
One Simple Change: Since we talked about transitional pieces, what way can this outfit be changed back into a winter outfit? Adding tights is the first step. I also think a maxi cardigan would go well with this dress, as it would accentuate the print and shape of the dress and keep a Fashionista warm and cozy.
