WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

May 11th, 2015 at 2:00am

I know what you’re thinking—another feature on wearing floral prints during the springtime. How cliché. I’m here to tell you why this Fashionista’s outfit is anything but cliché, proving that spring florals are here to stay.

This Fashionista’s romper is quite the game changer, considering the fact that it actually looks like a dress. Although I can’t seem to find a romper that suits my body proportions without making me look like a nine-year-old boy, I applaud those who can rock them effortlessly. Rompers are ideal for breezy springtime weather because they ensure you won’t flash everyone in your vicinity when the wind blows. Populating the racks of just about every store this season, rompers like this Fashionista’s give you the comfort of a dress with the practicality of shorts. They truly offer the best of both worlds. I love how this Fashionista chose a dark floral pattern with a black background, making it easy to pair with her adorable, funky sandals.

To combat Gainesville’s wishy-washy springtime weather, this Fashionista threw on a jean jacket—an awesome layer to go over floral dresses and rompers. Denim jackets match with basically any casual article of clothing, and they add a classic, retro vibe that’ll transport you back in time to the ‘80s. She topped off this adorable daytime outfit with a gray leather backpack, so she was prepared to take on finals week in a fashionable way.

One Simple Change: Headed to a fun outdoor concert this weekend? Modify this outfit simply by swapping the jean jacket for a denim vest to make this a more practical, sweat proof outfit.
