WHAT TO WEAR: Simple Class Edition

Hi, Fashionista/o’s! Hope you are all having a #RAD fall semester! I, for one, cannot believe my first semester at college is practically halfway through…that’s crazy! It has been as hectic, emotional and stressful as you could imagine, yet equally rewarding. Half the battle (especially at fashion universities) is getting out of bed, then having to pick out what to wear. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with outfit choices when you attend such a prestigious university where the runway is in fact, the classroom itself. I, myself am attending the university as an advertising marketing and communications major, and yes, even though it is not fashion related, the outfits are still impeccable. There are many days, even for an avid fashion follower like myself to want to roll up to class in my high school’s baggy sweatpants and oversized hoodie.

So, want ideas to help beat the system for days you don’t feel like looking like you’re about to attend the Grammys?

Black, black anything. Black is the color of the work world, and even if you’re in an all black ensemble no one will question it (especially in Manhattan). Black is easy to pair with, and you never have to feel as if you look unkempt. This fellow Fashionista is wearing her favorite black jeans, along with her black over-the-knee boots. Over-the-knee boots have been all the rage for the fall season and will continue into the winter season. They are easy to throw on, and they manage to pull any outfit together. Since it is fall, and it is rather chilly, it is never a bad idea to throw on a cozy oversized sweater. This day was rather sunny and she did what any one would do to protect from the rays and threw on her favorite pair of sunnies from Ray-Ban. This Fashionista is an illustration major, so her giant tote is always put to work! She is always carrying around giant drawing pads, canvases, and easels.

This Fashionista is an illustration major, so her giant tote is always put to work! She is always carrying around giant drawing pads, canvases and easels. As an avid lover of art, she appreciates good work and that’s why she chose a purple marbled phone case. Marble is also a big trend for accessories that has carried over from previous seasons.

Not too hard, eh? A sweater, some jeans, cute boots and you’re ready to get to class! No need for extra stress (we get enough these days)!
