Shopping is fun, but deciding the perfect outfit to wear for the outing can be a challenge. You want to stay comfortable and look cute at the same time. Let’s face it, for most of your time spent shopping you will be spent getting out of the clothing that you decided to shop in. Personally, I prefer a maxi dress for ease and accessibility. Actually, that is what I was wearing when I spotted this cutie at the Easton Town Center in Columbus. Her outfit is not only stylish, but also comfortable.
Stripes have yet to go out of style since Marc Jacobs’ spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection. Fortunately, the trend is trickling down to budget friendly fashion houses. For poor college students like ourselves, and other’s looking to save a penny, this is great news! Stripes suit many different body types and come in various forms of apparel, making them a must have for your wardrobe.
Another trend this Fashionista sports are high-waisted shorts, a spring and summer trend for several seasons. Personally, I adore this trend. High-waisted garments are flattering on many body types. They are also more comfortable and a great blast from the past! I know that my mom was really excited to see this trend rehashed. She had even kept some of her old pairs and was generous enough to pass them onto me. You have to love moms!
Hopefully, this post gave you some outfit inspiration for your next shopping excursion. I know that I’ll be checking my closet later for some stripes to wear on my next outing this summer!
One Simple Change: Just finished shopping and want to show off your new finds to your boyfriend at dinner? Slip out of the high-waisted shorts and into something a bit more formal like a black circle skirt. Apply red lip stick, tousle your hair, and put on some black heels before heading out the door.
