Spring colors are slowly starting to show up on campus and students are finally embracing the warmer weather. Once spring hits, I’m suddenly reminded of all the fun colors that exist in the world, as fall tends to consist of black and other darker, muted tones. I saw this Fashionista’s outfit and was immediately drawn to its brightness. I love a good monochrome outfit, especially with a standout color like this pink. Her pink pleated dress is simple, professional, yet the vibrant color allows for more casual wear as well. The mix of structure and fun is what makes this outfit unique and perfect, and with its simplicity, it is easy to duplicate. She complimented her dress with a floral print purse, which is perfect for the season. I am a huge fan of pairing bright colors with nude accessories, and this Fashionista seems to be a fan as well, adding a nude watch and nude oxfords to finish her look.
Although the statement the outfit makes is a loud one, it is also very polished and professional. This Fashionista was headed to class, however, this look could work for a more professional setting as well, such as a job or an internship. Whenever I find an outfit that works as both professional and casual wear, it immediately gets put on repeat in my wardrobe. The best tips to take away from this Fashionista’s outfit is that bright clothes can be both fun and professional. Although she prefers to dress more structured and sophisticated, this Fashionista refuses to let drab clothes be a part of her closet and strives to make every outfit fashionable and full of color.
