WHAT TO WEAR: Presentation

Since the end of the year is here, you’re probably preparing for finals, papers and presentations. If you’re preparing for presentations, you might feel concerned on what you should wear. Is a pant suit necessary or can you wear dressy jeans? When in doubt, take a few tips from this Fashionista on what you should wear for your upcoming presentation.

Bold colored pants are always a good idea. I love a colorful statement piece for any presentation outfit. Most people believe that you need to wear a black blazer and black dress pants, but that’s not the case. It’s okay to show off your personal style in a college setting. You don’t need to go crazy and wear hot pink jeggings, but a color other than black or gray is still appropriate. This hunter green color is a great option because it’s not too bold or overwhelming, yet it adds a unique element to her look.

Any Fashionista/o knows that if you’re wear a bold color, you need to pair it with a neutral color, too. For example, since the focal point of this outfit is based on the green pants, wearing a simple color on top is your best option. This white chiffon top is perfect because it’s classy and chic. I love the embroidered detailing on the front because it adds a feminine detail.

Flats are a great option for a presentation. Why? You shouldn’t feel obligated to wear heels just because you have a presentation. It’s important to feel comfortable and confident in your outfit. If that means wearing a comfortable pair of flats, so be it.

One Simple Change: A celebration is in order after any presentation, so if you’re planning a night out with girlfriends or a date night with your boyfriend, swap out your flats with a pair of heels or wedges and you’re good to go.
