WHAT TO WEAR: Midi Season

Wow, is it really mid-December already? That means finals are over, the weather is colder and yes, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! With the holidays come the parties and events that require pulled together looks to fit the season. Some of you might experience weird transitional weather that can make it difficult to find ways to dress accordingly.

Cue in a midi-dress! Living in southern California has still consisted of warm weather here and there, which is why this Fashionista was able to rock a midi in the dead of December. The just-past-the-knee hem of a midi provides coverage but also allows some leg to show in a tasteful manner. The day these photos were taken was overcast, so her olive green bomber jacket was the perfect layer for some added warmth to her ensemble. The bold stripes on this particular dress were enough detail to not require accessories. This Fashionista toned the ensemble down with a pair of white sneakers to create a similar style a la Kendall Jenner, who seems to incorporate a type of sneaker into her everyday look.

Bomber jackets and midi dresses have continued to be popular trends so it’s a no-brainer that these two items pair quite well together. An outfit like this is fit for multiple occasions. This Fashionista was at a family party, but it could also work for shopping, brunch, date night (or girl’s night) and so many other opportunities. By adding a pair of heeled footwear, this outfit can go from casual chic to dressy chic. I highly recommend incorporating a midi dress into your wardrobe for that effortless fall outfit that is suitable for practically any event!
