WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

When it comes to dressing for an internship, most find it difficult. Some feel stuck in between wanting to dress like a CEO or wanting to be casual. Thankfully, it all comes down to the culture of your office setting and if there’s a dress code. Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of companies are drifting away from “dress codes” (especially if they’re fashion-based) as they expect you to come dressed professionally yet showcasing your personal style. At The Row, you’ll find a mixture of work attire ranging from casual, formal and business casual. This Fashionista showcases the perfect internship attire. Thankfully, I was able to capture her charming style and show the world.

This Fashionista’s style is a mixture of vintage attire, modern and fabulous items. Some days, you’ll find her in the latest trendy trainers and other days in her grandmother’s fabulous collection of passed-down clothes. On this spring day, she chose light layers. Pairing a loose tunic with her vintage trousers, she embraced spring weather beautifully. Interestingly enough, her printed vintage trousers are making a comeback. Pulling it all together was a gray trenchcoat, perfect for spring mornings. Wondering how you can find an effortless-chic trenchcoat like this? This coat will pull together any look while elongating your silhouette. If your internship is anything like ours, you’re constantly on your feet. Don’t stress about wearing trainers. If you’re pairing your trainers with trousers it will create a timeless look. By adding trainers like adidas to your outfits, you’re adding a touch of athleisure–which is one of my favorite trends right now.

One Simple Change: If it’s one of those office-to-dinner days, you can simply swap the adidas for a pair of mules–which is also one of my favorite trends that is making a comeback. They’re also perfect for spring!
