WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

July 2nd, 2015 at 2:00am

During your first years of college, it’s normal for your closet to mainly be filled with various colored crop tops, patterned pants and never ending T-shirts saved up from high school. However, there will eventually come a point where you’ll need to update your wardrobe and start dressing to impress. Internships are crucial during your college years, so it’s important to know how to dress the part while also staying true to your 20-something fashion sense!

This Fashionista took a basic business casual outfit and transformed it into a one of kind ensemble. Her patterned dress pants are the main attraction in this outfit, which give it a more edgy look. They stand out, but in a subtle way, which still looks clean and professional. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and add patterns in places you normally don’t see them!

Since internships are business-casual, the blazer she’s wearing is 100 percent cotton, so it’s comfy, yet still has the professional look blazers present. The royal blue also looks great against the white sheer shirt she’s wearing. When wearing sheer, be sure to wear a camisole or tank top underneath because it can sometimes be see through. The shirt underneath can also be switched with other colors to create a different vibe every time!

Wearing the same kind of outfits day-to-day can get tedious, so be sure to add accessories and/or a cute pair of shoes. This Fashionista decided to rock a gold watch paired with a thin gold bracelet. It’s just enough jewelry to complement the simplicity of her outfit. Instead of wearing flats every day, take one day off to wear your favorite wedges.

One Simple Change: Planning on going out for the night after your internship? Ditch the blazer and shirt, and throw on one of your ‘various colored crop tops’ to make a fun, going-out ensemble.
