WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

You’ve landed an internship at a well-known public relations company of a fashion magazine, and you don’t have a clue what to wear. The office cultural is super casual so there’s no need to overdress. You have a hard time figuring out to wear because you want to be cute yet comfortable because of the errands you might have to run. How can you be casual and still make a great style impression? Stick to the basics! Basic essentials that you already have in your closet can be your go-to pieces for your internship. They are clean and simple clothes that you are already comfortable in. This Fashionista I captured showed how to make basics stylish at an internship.

She first started with a simple white V-neck T-shirt. Everyone should have this item in their closets! It’s an easy basic to dress up and down. This Fashionista accessorized her V-neck with a scarf.  She threw on a pair of classic blue jeans. This is another basic item that I know everyone has. Be careful not wear any jeans with rips. That can come off as too casual for the office. To dress up this casual office outfit, her shoe choice was a pair of suede brogues. They are the perfect alternative to a pair of ordinary flats. Since it’s still cold in the New York area, she threw a parka over her outfit. The Fashionista threw her books and laptop in an oversized tote.

One Simple Change: To make this outfit appropriate for a relaxing weekend, replace the jeans and brogues with stylish joggers and a pair of comfortable sneakers.
