WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

Those who have ever had to wear a uniform know all too well that the struggle is very real. Whether it is for school or work, it can often be challenging to add your own flair to garments that were chosen for you. When I saw this Fashionista, who interns at the admissions office on campus, I immediately loved everything about her outfit.

Her sky blue button-down shirt and name tag must be worn to work every day. Some may have a difficult time figuring out how to style a shirt like this, especially if you want to make it interesting. But not this Fashionista!

The burnt orange colored pants were a fantastic choice and looked so bright and fun. She could have opted for a pair of basic, boring black pants, but she made a bold choice with the orange pants, and I am so glad that she did. I’m also obsessed with how she cuffed them at the bottom, which adds a bit of personal flair and detail.

Her plaid blanket scarf was a perfect choice to tie in the colors of the pants and shirt. I was astounded at how perfect they matched. The addition of the scarf transforms the everyday uniform look into a fashionable outfit.

She finished off the look with a pair of adorable oxfords, a simple watch, a beaded bracelet and some large, yet understated, circular earrings. The oxfords gave a very collegiate feel to the ensemble, and the jewelry was neutral enough to not stand out too much but still gave just the right amount of sparkle.

One Simple Change: After work, ditch the uniform shirt and scarf and opt for a sequin top. With a pair of casual pants and shoes, the top will give just enough glam for a night out.
