WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

As second semester is starting to pick up at a steady pace, it’s time we start thinking about our summer plans for 2015. Some of us are hoping to travel, while others are planning to stay on campus as a college coach or orientation leader. Other students have their minds set on going back home to just kick back and relax. The idea of trying to land a potential internship, however, seems to be hanging over most of our heads. Ideally, we could all land an awesome internship that not only looks awesome on resumes but that we find interesting and beneficial!

This Fashionista is already ahead of the game since she’s landed an internship for both the spring semester and for summer! Her classic black pants and nude ballet flats make for an excellent business casual outfit. She really makes a great impression with her colorful blazer, which is my favorite part of her look. Blazers are a staple piece because they can be worn over all different kinds of blouses and dresses. However, it’s the magenta that adds such a nice pop of color to her look, which helps give it that extra pizazz. Adding color to everyday outfits really helps you stand out and makes a powerful statement! She also makes her outfit stand out even more by adding a classic knit scarf. Scarves are a nice alternative for when you’re not really in the necklace mood. It’s a way to spice up your outfit while still looking classy.

This Fashionista rocks the “casual Friday” look at her internship. She is dressed appropriately for work and is still wearing something that makes her feel both confident and comfortable. Feeling good in your clothes is the most important rule to live by because when you feel awesome you will also look awesome!

One Simple Change: Have an interview for a more permanent position at the company you’re interning for? Try adding a pair of black ruched pants for extra detail and a slightly more dressy look. A classic pair of nude heels wouldn’t hurt either.
