WHAT TO WEAR: Greek Life

Every Tuesday on Bradley’s campus, fraternity men and sorority women dress up for their individual organization’s chapter at night. Even with all of the fashionable people on campus, no one other than this stylish Fashionista stood out to me!

This Fashionista is a junior in retail merchandising, and one of the many things we have in common is a love for fashion. The first thing that caught my eye was this Fashionista’s houndstooth printed pants. I like how she kept everything else in her outfit simple in order to keep the attention on her pants. Additionally, her black cropped sweater layers over a flowy white button-down was unexpected but helped make her look more complete.

Each week, members of the Greek community attend their house’s chapter meetings, and while some people can be a little careless when it comes to dressing up, this Fashionista always dresses to impress. The colorful pop of red in her statement necklace and lip color makes her look more exciting when paired against the contrasting black and white colors. To finish off her look, this Fashionista added a very stylish pair of black heels and two Alex and Ani gold bangles representing her sorority.

If you’re ever unsure of how to dress for chapter, take a look at this Fashionista! Her ensemble depicts the right way to use proportion in your outfit, by pairing a looser fitting top over a tighter fitting pant, and by wearing a pop of red to break up the black and white.

One Simple Change: To make this look appropriate for brunch, I would exchange the Fashionista’s black heels to either black flats or riding boots to make it more casual for day time.
