WHAT TO WEAR: Greek Life

Sorority recruitment can be a very stressful event for everyone involved, and no one needs the additional stress of picking out an outfit. A good rule of thumb for dressing for recruitment is to act as if you are going to an interview. Dressing well is a form of good manners and you want the women you are talking to to know that you care and put in effort to look presentable. But whether you are working away in the house or sweating it out outdoors, I’ve found a Fashionista with a great outfit for Greek sorority recruitment.

This Fashionista is ready to take on the memorable week of recruitment with a simple yet elegant little black dress. She wore a simple gold necklace and bracelet to match the gold strap on her bag. It’s a great idea to carry a small bag if you’re going through recruitment so you can carry your belongings and any travel size body spray, deodorant and makeup to touch up when the heat starts to get the best of you. I loved this bag because it is so simple and versatile and the details on it, such as the gold chain and the monogram, are just classic and lovely.

Whether you’re out running through Greek town, or running down the stairs to meet a potential new member, the shoes you wear can have a big difference on your appearance, confidence and comfort. If you are not comfortable wearing heels, rush week is probably not the week to break them in. If you would like to wear heels, wedges can be a good alternative because they still look presentable and are more comfortable than pumps. It is totally fine to wear flats or sandals so you can stay comfortable and focused on the conversations in front of you instead of any soreness in your feet. It really just boils down to what makes you feel the most confident when meeting new people!

It is important to remember that recruitment is not all about looking good, but it’s about the women you will talk to and the friends you will make. So keep an open mind and just go with the flow!

One Simple Change: Switch out the sandals for a chic pair of heels and this outfit will look amazing for the next formal!
