WHAT TO WEAR: Graduation

After attending my first college graduation ceremony, I realized in the next short year, that will be me walking to get my diploma! A nerve-wracking yet exciting moment in life should be accompanied with an unforgettable and classy outfit to go underneath that cap and gown. After observing a few fashion ideas during this highly photographed event and spotting this Fashionista back home, I realized she aced her graduation outfit.

This Fashionista embodied that graduate and picture-ready look all with the help of an LBD. This dress is a little more formal than your average sundress, but it isn’t so dressy that it would make you feel uncomfortable during the ceremony or when running around to take pictures with all your friends. The back of the dress is open, making it more light and airy for a spring graduation. I love the deep V-neck of the dress because it spices up the look and also leaves room to add an accessory like our Fashionista had done by adding a statement necklace.

Any graduate should have on stylish yet comfy shoes especially with that important walk to get your diploma! What I really thought finished off this graduate ready look on this Fashionista was her gladiator sandals. The intricate design not only dressed up the outfit but also kept her comfy and trendy. A bright-colored statement necklace was a great move because it stands out compared to the neutrality of the overall outfit.

One Simple Change: If you’re heading out for a celebratory dinner or a night to celebrate your academic success, throw on a pair of chunky heels, and swap the statement necklace for a more simple necklace or body chain. This makes the outfit less formal and more ready to party!
