WHAT TO WEAR: Girl's Night Out

I’m definitely the kind of girl who loves to sit on her bed with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food and a Netflix account surrounded by a fortress if pillows on a Friday night. Don’t get me wrong, I love to go out and do social things with my big group of friends, but sometimes I definitely need a good R and R session. The one thing though that never fails to get me shimmying out of my sweat pants, is a girls night out. I love a good girls night more than any other kind of outing because you can’t ever go wrong with rounding up all of your best gal pals and hitting up the town. One of the hardest and most daunting parts of planning a GNO (minus who gets to drive) is figuring out what to wear.

Now, I love a good little black dress (LBD) as much as the next girl out there, but there comes a point of continuous wear to where you look as if you’re in constant mourning. I know with the right pops of color you can do wonders for an all black ensemble, but sometimes you’ve just got to branch out a bit!

As seen on my lovely fashionista, she has decided to go with a floral dress. I love floral dresses because you can really do anything with them and still fit them to your style like this one. With a floral dress, you can add a leather jacket to make it more edgy, a long flowing cardigan for a more boho feel, or play up your accessories for a more girly look. The possibilities are endless.

I love that my fashionista decided to keep it simple with just pairing her strapless dress with some cool vintage earrings. It gave the outfit just enough sparkle and interest to where you notice, but not too much as to make it flashy. I love earrings like this too because you can wear them even if you don’t want to commit with piercing your ears. That’s right ladies and gents; we’re bringing back the clip-ons! You can still get the look for one night and the next morning still have hole-less lobes! Pretty fantastic if I do say so myself.

The last and final thing that will throw the whole look together is the shoe! Now let me say this, I. love. Heels. I really do love them, but when it comes to my feet, they hate them. I don’t care what anyone says, I have yet to meet a nice pair of pumps that don’t make my feet want to fall off my legs and run away. So, that’s why I love that my fashionista decided to go with a low heel to show you that you don’t have to wear heels to rock an outfit.

One Simple Change: Take this look to the “after” brunch with you by adding this sweet white denim jacket!
