Spring has sprung and has also brought us formal season. Attending a formal is (usually) one of the best events and also one of the largest fashion shows. We, being Fashionistas/os, know that while having a good date and great attitude can make or break the night, so can your outfit. Now we enter into the realm of stress. Do you go with a little black dress or something more colorful? The world may never know.
Luckily for us, this Fashionista spiced up and brought some class to the formal she is attending. In a navy lace, mid-length dress, you can guarantee she stole the show. The lace overlay extended beyond the slip and created great contrast. I found the Fashionista’s look to be a breath of fresh air, as she stayed true to her style while still being very formal appropriate. With the navy dress, she wore black heels with an ankle strap. The shoes did not complicate the look and paired nicely with the length of the dress.
Accessories are important, and this Fashionista left me dying over her earrings. The ear crawler has been a very popular trend, and the Fashionista perfectly executed it with her gold and white stone pair. By wearing the ear crawler, she exemplifies her fashion sense but remains formal. Lastly, the Fashionista chose to wear a black and gold clutch, adding some drama to the look.
One Simple Change: So maybe the night didn’t go as planned, but that’s just fine because you are ready for a much needed girl’s night out following the event. Throw on a pair of wedges for added comfort and to dress down the look. You can also swap out the clutch for a cross-body bag. It’s as easy as that, and you are ready to hit the town with the girls!
