WHAT TO WEAR: FIT Edition

Hey Fashionista/os! I’m well into my third week of classes now at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and I’m becoming slightly more accustomed to the city life. As I’ve ventured through the halls of my school, I’ve realized that there is one very important aspect of fashion that everyone seems to have understood here. Since a typical fashion student’s day can go from a six hour design class to a four hour lecture on advertising, a comfortable outfit is necessary. I’ve found great interest in how everyone takes the comfortable trend and transforms it into their own personal stye.

One person who makes comfy look trendy is my roommate. Since we’ve both agreed that the years of spending hours to get ready for school are well past us, she especially loves to head to her three hour lectures in work out gear, comfy dresses, and outfits similar to the one that I have featured. Before her Fashion Business Practices class, I was able to snap a couple of pictures of her insanely comfy, but super fashionable outfit. Being from South Philly, she loves to wear dark colors, lots of distressed denim, and super-cool sneakers as a staple for every outfit. I’m especially obsessed with her LF distressed denim shorts, which she bought during their (amazing) end-of-summer sale and her Fierce Kylie Jenner Edition Puma’s. As if she didn’t already cover basically every summer trend, she also added in her newest find from our favorite second-hand store, Buffalo Exchange. Her oversized vintage Rolling Stones T-shirt is super soft and gives an edgier look to this trend-setting outfit. From throwing on a hat to cover up “second day” hair to sliding on a cool belt to add that extra edge to the outfit, this Fashionista has perfected the “What to Wear: FIT Edition” outfit.
