WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

October 27th, 2015 at 2:10am

When transitioning from summer to fall, there’s always this awkward time period when it’s not cold enough to go full on jeans and long sleeve shirts, but it’s not warm enough to wear your favorite dress. For me, this is my least favorite part about the transitioning seasons. But as it gets nearer to the days where we can drink hot coffee instead of iced, we need to switch our wardrobes to match.

This Fashionista definitely has her wardrobe worked out for the impending colder months. While it may be a bit chilly out, you might get a bit warm while walking to class. That’s why this outfit is perfect for any typical fall day. It’s always a good idea to start with the basics and accessorize from there. This Fashionista definitely had the right idea starting off with jeans and a T-shirt. Adding on a super trendy, military inspired jacket amps up what was a simple look to something comfortable but still cute for class. If it gets a bit warm, just tie the jacket around your waist and you’ll still look trendy! Staying within the earth tones, I love the boots that finished off this look. Some people think it’s not okay to pair brown and black together but I think it looks great if you do it the right way.

This look is perfect for the fall time because you can wear it to a various number of occasions. It would be great for a day of errands, a coffee date or even a study day at the library. The T-shirt keeps everything causal but the jeans and boots are a step up from sweat pants and Ugg boots.

One Simple Change: Take this look from casual fall wear to girl’s night out by switching out the boots for a cute heeled pair of booties. Also try swapping the T-shirt for a dressier top and you’re ready to hit the town with your girls!
