WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

The snow is melting, the birds are chirping and the campus is coming back to life. Spring is arriving, albeit in degrees, to Vassar’s campus and I couldn’t be happier. Spring is a period of fresh starts. That means that now is the time to take a chance on something new, whether it be a modern dance class at the gym or that cute Fashionisto in your history seminar. This season, it feels like anything is possible.

This Fashionista looks ready for a fun and flirty springtime date. Her LWD is a refreshing contrast to the never-ending black sweaters of winter. I love lace dresses in general and am a fan of how this one hits right above the knee. The cut is flattering and adds to the overall romantic, ethereal look of the dress.

She makes the perfect call by throwing on a light tan jacket. Layering is key for any date night look, since you know you are going to get incredibly hot or cold at the worst possible moment. This Fashionista is on top of things with this chic leather jacket. The warm color pairs well with the white dress and is a nice change from standard black leather.

The jacket also ties in perfectly with her amazing booties. In my opinion, heels are always a must on date nights. They provide an instant confidence boost and make practically any outfit look ten times classier. Heeled boots are a great compromise for girls who don’t want to commit to stilettos but still want a bit of a boost. Match them to your jacket, like this Fashionista did, for bonus points.

All in all, this Fashionista is ready for a romantic spring escapade, whether it be for a special dinner out on the town or a coffee date with the cutie who caught her eye. Her combination of a flirty dress, a classy jacket and a pair of super stylish boots is a winning formula. She will be sure to turn heads wherever she goes!

One Simple Change: If there is no date night on your calendar, but you still want to rock a cute outfit to class, update the look with a statement floral backpack. That way you can celebrate the changing temperatures and hold all of your school books, too!
