WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

Dates are always a little pressing, especially when it comes to what you’re going to wear. First dates can be some of the most nerve-racking experiences. It always seems that those are the times you can’t dig something up that will make the impression you want. First impressions are so important and the way you present yourself with your outfit, accessories and personality is something that can make or break you.

This Fashionista decided to go with the ever so popular bohemian look—a simple, flowy black dress paired with a floppy hat and fabulous pair of booties. Boho is a look everyone is into this season, whether it’s a peasant dress or a pair of printed flare pants. The dress this Fashionista is sporting is the epitome of a peasant dress. Without trying too hard or not trying hard enough, she is giving off a free spirit vibe that many people find inviting (great for that first impression). Another aspect of the bohemian look can be jewelry, whether it be bangles, simple necklaces or a pair of dangly earrings. This Fashionista topped off her look with a simple three-tiered gold necklace, giving off a beautifully effortless appeal. Jewelry is always something that you can add to complete your look.

Along with the gorgeous peasant dress, she breaks out a pair of awesome grayish beige studded booties. Booties are in this winter and in my opinion are one of the best trends to date, enabling you to dress up or even dress down any look. These booties give the look a little change of color without skewing too far off a neutral path. Many people choose to play it safe when it comes to dates. Black is always a go-to color along with the majority of the neutral color palette. Although safe, they can also be some of the most flattering colors on all kinds of skin tones which is a huge plus.  Following this neutral color scheme, a cute floppy hat is thrown into the mix. Floppy hats are a great asset to any outfit from a bit dressy to casual. This is perfect for a date night because it spices up the whole look and really finishes off the bohemian style.

One Simple Change: If the you’re wondering how to make the look work for something like a night out with the girls, try pairing the peasant dress with a cute pair of chunky platform heels. This dresses up the look while also keeping the bohemian. Try a pair like these!
