WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

It’s 4:00pm on a Friday afternoon; you’re sitting next to the air conditioner and watching Netflix. Suddenly, your boyfriend just called you to tell you that he is going to take you out on a date. Thrilled with joy, you agree without thinking about a potential outfit to wear for this spontaneous date… And he told you he would pick up at 6:00pm. After the phone called ended, you start to panic: “What do I even wear?”, “Hair up or hair down?”, “How will I do my makeup?” or “What purse should I use?” Immediately you run straight to your closet, grab your makeup bag and start crackin’!

Your boyfriend doesn’t tell you what kind of date this is. He doesn’t tell you whether to get all dressed up or go casual. You don’t want to grab that pair of jeans you wore last time or that shirt you told yourself, “this will do”. It’s a Friday night; why not go out in something cute and simple.

This Fashionista went for a cute yet simple look for her date night. She chose colors that complemented her skin tone. Instead of going for a vibrant tone, she decided to go toward the lighter tones—perfect for a summer of love. She is wearing a coral crochet slip dress with some cute sling sandals. She decided to bring her faux leather tote bag to fit anything and fix any last minute makeup touches.

To finish the look, she kept her makeup simple, yet timeless, for her date. Even though the eyes and the lips were very natural and simple, she had to glam it up a bit with some contour, rosy tone blush and a gleaming highlight. She used her favorite bronzer, hoola by Benefit Cosmetics. For blush and highlight, she used the Jaclyn Hill by Becca Champagne Glow Face Palette. For the timeless eye look, she used MannyMUA by Makeup Geek Cosmetics eyeshadow palette. The neutral lip was accomplished by using the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade of Lolita. And to conclude the look, you can never go wrong with a strong black eyeliner to make any girl look fierce.

Whether you have been dating him for 2 days or 2 years, you should always look fabulous and breathtaking wherever you go.

One Simple Change: This look is so simple, you can do anything to change the sense of style. You can simply add a big necklace with cute stud earrings and replace the sandals to nude color heels. Instead of having the classic soft wave look, you can do a low bun. By adding these changes, the outfit goes from cute and simple to glamorous. Perfect for any formal event such as graduation, presentation, or even meeting the parents.
