WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

Howdy ladies! I hope you are all having an fantastically rad week so far. Here I am, bringing you your weekly dose of fashion advice to help you conquer the weekend with impeccable style. Ever since Justin Timberlake released his hit “Summer Love,” all us ladies have dreamt of having a summer fling. There is no better time than summer to bum around with your beau and have loads of time to spend with each other. Now that the end of summer is approaching, which is extremely painful to address, every couple out there is trying to fit some extra romance into the few weekends we have left. So this week, I am showing you how to look absolutely unforgettable on your upcoming date night!

One of the main points that you want to hit when preparing for a date is beauty. You want to make sure that your makeup is “on fleek.” However, do not overdo the eyeshadow or the blush. I suggest sticking to a very simple eye look, maybe with a touch of eyeliner, some tinted lip balm and highlighted cheekbones. Also, hair is a vital part of the look. Aim to look classy and elegant rather than edgy. Date night is the night to look as feminine and ladylike as you possibly can. Following these makeup and hair tips will all work together to help you achieve an aesthetically pleasing look.

For the clothes, I always suggest wearing a dress or skirt and top combination of some sort. Make sure that you do not wear anything too restricting or uncomfortable because you definitely want to fully enjoy the meal you are going to. This means avoiding any bodycon styles and aiming for skater or A-line styles. Also, try to pick something girly. This Fashionista picked the perfect dress for the occasion by wearing this red floral skater dress with an appealing cutout on the back to show a little extra skin. She paired this with patent nude pumps to keep the focus on the dress and accessorized with a simple chestnut clutch and a few dainty bangles. Most importantly, her makeup was very simple with a pop of pink on her lips and her hair in an elegant updo to frame her face.

Whatever you choose to wear, just be the amazing person you are and everything will fall into place. Ok, Sahana, enough with the sappiness. Have an amazing week, Fashionistas!

One Simple Change: Planning on going to a super casual brunch with the ladies? Throw off those pumps and put on a pair of cute, simple sandals. Instead of a clutch, wear a cross-body bag. Take off the lipstick and opt for some classic chapstick and replace the updo with something more simple such as a side braid or even a high ponytail. Lastly, throw on a sunhat and some sunglasses and you are set.
