WHAT TO WEAR: Cozy Campus Style

The ultimate winter dilemma: Do I sacrifice my comfort for style, or do I sacrifice my style for comfort? I often see the frumpy winter look when everyone is just too cold to worry about what they look like. It’s mid January, and all you see are students engulfed in those huge, puffy parka jackets wearing PSU sweatpants and sweatshirts. Don’t get me wrong. I love comfort, but when people start to look like they just rolled out of bed, you start to question their style sanity.

When I saw my Fashionista’s look I knew she was not a victim of the brutal weather but a stylish compromiser. She managed to beat the dilemma, as she is both comfortable and stylish. I was inspired, and I admired her comfortable and cozy, sleek style. This is her go-to winter outfit for class, and it’s perfect.

Her cowl neck sweater is light and flowy and of course warm. Her tan suede boots are practical for lengthy walks to class, and her neutral coat is a perfect addition to complete the look. Her Apple watch is a subtle detail but is a convenient accessory. Now sitting in two hour lectures can get pretty boring, but concentration is a lot easier when you’re comfortable.

Now when it comes to having that “put together look,” it is simply priceless. This outfit is the best of both worlds. Even if it’s freezing and you have five exams while you’re running on a minimal amount of sleep and hair thats been living off of dry shampoo, no one has to know!  I’m telling you one of the easiest ways to feel like you have your life together is to present yourself that way. In other words fake it ‘til you make it!
