WHAT TO WEAR: Cooler Weather, Hotter Clothes

October 21st, 2016 at 2:00am

Fall is the best season for many reasons. The warm lattes, cute and cuddly scarfs and the over-sized sweaters give everyone a sense of joy. But the most beautiful part of fall is the changing of the leaves, going from a crisp green to the warm hues of reds and oranges. Leaves aren’t the only thing that change color in the fall though, fashion has adopted this trend as well. Fashionistas switch up their style, going from corals to more earthy tones.

This Fashionista’s outfit was all the colors of fall and encapsulated how fall fashion doesn’t have to be bulky. She wore a light body-con dress with a deep maroon military jacket to not only compliment the falling leaves, but to keep herself warm in the cooling weather. Military jackets are not only cute, but great for layering. They are light enough to wear on their own during the day, but heavy enough to be put over a sweater to keep warm at night. Paired with matching maroon knee high socks, this Fashionista knew how to coordinate.

If wearing a dress during fall isn’t your cup of tea, feel free to wear a pair of leggings and a thick sweater to keep the cold out. This Fashionista has great fall staple pieces, such as her brown lace up booties. Cute brown ankle booties can really take an outfit from casual to chic in the fall and you don’t have to sacrifice comfort! The chunky heel on these boots give great support and can tread through even the thickest pumpkin patches. They can look good with casual jeans or wear them with a dress like this Fashionista!
