WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

There are many places on my bucket list that I want to visit in Colorado before I head back to Indiana in the fall—so summer, stop going by so fast! The famous Colorado landmark and entertainment venue, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, is one of those places. The beautiful, natural rock structure located just 10 miles outside the city of Denver hosts events such as movie nights, yoga classes and, most importantly, concerts. Alt-J, Florence and the Machine and Alabama Shakes are some of the shows I would love to attend “on the rocks.”

When it is close to 100 degrees and you are planning to attend a sold out, crowded concert, it can be easy to want to throw on a T-shirt and soft shorts. especially if you plan on crowd surfing. I had major inspirtation for a fashionable, concert-ready look after seeing this Fashionista downtown. Her black Tokyo mesh top, black skirt and black pointed toe flats scream chic city girl. The addition of the structured red tote bag and a spiked necklace complete her all-black ensemble.

Those of you who prefer to stay way from crowd surfing should all take a cue from this Fashionista and stick with a single base color (black being hers) for your main pieces. Then, all you have to do is add unique accessories for your next concert look. Carrying a large tote bag is also important for holding all of your outdoor concert necessities, including makeup wipes, sunscreen, snacks and extra water bottles.

One Simple Change: Ready for a fun-filled night out with your gal pals after a concert? Replace the flats with a pair of trendy platform wedges. Leave the large tote bag at home and go for a fun, round cross-body bag. You’ll be able to reach new heights and dance the night away!
