WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

As the winter months drag on and February will soon turn into March, the cold weather is still unbearable here in New England. This means that most college students will turn to comfier clothes to wear to class or even running errands such as sweatshirts, sweatpants or whatever will keep us warm. Although when you are dedicated to fashion, nothing will stop a true Fashionista from taking a step further and having some fun with a cold weather outfit. Wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts are great but it can also be fun to dress for the cold weather.

I found this Fashionista on a Friday afternoon right after class and before she went to work at the mall. The temperature outside was near 25 degrees Fahrenheit and students all over campus were rushing to nearby residence halls to coop up with friends and stay warm. This Fashionista was ready for the cold weather with her favorite pair of duck boots and longer length wool-blend socks—a great New England fashion staple. A pair of black fleece-lined leggings, a gray graphic T-shirt, and a tribal print cardigan complete with her favorite black parka and her newly found Love Your Melon beanie. This Fashionista paired her outfit together perfectly with her blue, gray and black tone combination. The color scheme and soft knit look makes her look casual but not over the top. She can easily go from class to work without looking underdressed.

One Simple Change: Just got off from work and want to head out with your friends for a night on the town? Switch out your graphic tee and cardigan for a white knit sweater that will be sure to stand out. The look will still be casual but fun and clean for a night out!
