WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

February 15th, 2016 at 2:00am

After the gigantic snowstorm that swept through the East Coast a few weeks ago, it’s safe to say that winter is fully upon us, and with the winter comes the unbearable cold. It’s easy to throw on a ton of layers to stay warm, but it isn’t always the most fashionable. This Fashionista, however, managed to stay warm and pull off a very cute outfit.

For this look, the Fashionista wore dark denim jeggings and dark brown riding boots with a little bit of a heel to dress the outfit up. The trendy, off-white peacoat is what really caught my eye with her outfit. The buttons of the coat had an ornate detail on them, and the coat flared out at the bottom. A peacoat similar to this can be found at Macy’s! The light brown scarf gave this Fashionista a warmer look and kept her neck warm. To keep her ears warm, this Fashionista wore a knit headband with rhinestones from the boutique, francesca’s. This is a cute, girly accessory to add to any outfit. Some people, such as myself, have a difficult time pulling off the knit headband look, so you could opt for a beanie or a headwrap to keep your ears and head warm.

One Simple Change: Going out for a night on the town with your girlfriends? Replace the brown riding boots with a cute pair of brown wedge booties to dress the outfit up. You could even swap out the peacoat with a leather jacket to give the outfit more of a grunge look.
