WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

Weather gets crazier each day. You wake up and it’s sunny outside. As the day goes by, it gets even hotter and you feel like it must be summer when, in reality, it’s winter. Then you go to sleep wishing for temperatures that are a little bit lower for the next day—after all you want to enjoy winter for real. Even if winter in Rio is not that kind of winter which most are used to, it’s always good to have days that don’t feel super hot.

Mother Nature listens to your prayers, but she is not happy with humanity, so what does she do? She gives you rainy days. Who does really enjoy rain when you have to go to school, work or do anything else besides sleep? Spending all day long outside getting wet is far from being pleasant. However, rain usually brings cold and cold brings prettier clothes! Clothes are so much more stylish in winter. Just take a look at this Fashionista. The military mood of her look combined with her charming umbrella is way too delightful.

The Fashionista isn’t letting the approach of rain ruin her vibes. She woke up ready to face this rainy day in style. A great staple piece in her look is the military jacket—it’s perfectly stylish, as well comfortable. The jacket is a great way to remain trendy and safe from getting wet. Her crochet sweater adds hints of femininity without losing the military appeal. The distressed black pants add a bit of a grunge element to her outfit. Finishing everything off, the patent oxford flat is simply the most important piece of her look in my eyes. It gives the look a vintage and bold mood. I personally love this mixing of styles. I truly believe you don’t have to strictly follow only one style, but your guts. Trust your instincts and wear whatever you feel awesome in.

One Simple Change: Your girlfriends set a girl’s night out for tonight and you don’t have much time after work. Just switch your pants to a black skirt, throw your hair in a top bun and invest in a chic necklace. Now go have fun!
