WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

Well…it’s official, the weather outside is frightful! Now that it’s January you can expect two things in the upcoming months: freezing temperatures and snow! To many students, the cold weather means looking like a snowman and piling on layer after layer after layer until topping the look off with their puffiest of coats. But just because we had to trade in our high-waisted shorts for clothes about three times the material doesn’t mean we have to throw out fashion altogether.

Winter fashion can be both cute and cozy! This Fashionista proves that even when it’s 15 degrees outside you can still manage to stay warm as well as rocking an awesome outfit! This Fashionista, a sophomore at Monmouth College describes her style as fun and crazy. She says that her fashion sense changes as her mood does. “If I’m feeling positive and happy I will wear something bright and girly. If I’m feeling risky I’ll dress more grunge and wear something a little dark and daring”.

Rocking the newest H&M sweater, this Fashionista looks cool, comfortable and, most importantly, warm! Her mustard yellow sweater is both trendy and casual. This Fashionista’s black leggings make this look an easy go-to for class and paired with her edgy leather jacket and black combat boots she will be sure to make a statement! She adds a touch of femininity to her otherwise grungy look with her studded nude cross body bag and silver necklace. Last but not least, she finishes off her look with a white puffy coat; after all, it is 12 degrees outside!

One Simple Change:  Have a hot study date and want to look cool but more casual? Remove the leather jacket and instead try switching to a black duster for a softer laid back vibe.
