WHAT TO WEAR: Class

I think it is safe to say that spring is almost here, finally! The birds are chirping. Snow is melting, and students are bringing out their summer apparel. At Michigan, 50-degree weather means to start wearing summer clothing. Although the better weather and bubbling student excitement of the summer to come have arrived, going to class is still here, and that will never go out of style. Even though donning black leggings and a Michigan sweatshirt is the easiest option, dressing comfortably and stylish for class is easy and fun—especially when you can start wearing those bright, summery tank tops and shirts.

This Fashionista dresses for class in the perfect springtime look. Her bright floral print T-shirt and free-flowing black kimono create a fun outfit that is class appropriate. Her faux leather pants make this outfit pop. This Fashionista’s outfit is interesting and stylish because of the way she mixed different textures—leather pants, a chiffon T-shirt and a chiffon kimono. She finishes off this look with burgundy Dr. Martens. You can imitate this Fashionista’s look with a similar black chiffon kimono from American Apparel. Her colorful floral top is from Forever 21.

As this Fashionista demonstrates, dressing for class does not have to be boring. The bright colors and relaxed kimono create the perfect campus look with personality and comfort.

One Simple Change: Have a late class and then have to rush to meet up with friends for a night out? Simply lose the Dr. Martens and kimono. Put on a pair of black heels or booties, and add some lipstick. You’re ready for a night out with friends.
