WHAT TO WEAR: Class

There are days when going to class, especially in the winter, is impossible. You lay in bed thinking, “I can’t get up, five more minutes” or “the sun hurts my eyes.” We have all been there, and once we have finally made it out of bed, the only thing that seems appealing to wear is leggings or sweatpants with a sweatshirt and a pair of UGGs. Unfortunately, wearing that insanely comfortable ensemble only leaves you sleepy and longing for your bed and heated blanket.

I am not saying you have to dress to the nines, but just find a balance between wanting to still be in bed outfit and a Friday night out. Earlier in the week, this Fashionista took advantage of a beautiful day in Milwaukee. She looked stylish while still being comfy. Notice the leggings? Honestly, who doesn’t love wearing leggings as the perfect substitute for jeans?

For a laid back, simple look, this Fashionista sported an oversized, chambray button-down shirt from Urban Outfitters. It appeared to be a little heavier and keep her warm without a jacket. The shirt was light gray rather than the typical denim chambray shirt. On the bottom she rocked a standard pair of black leggings with medium brown riding boots. To complete her look, she added a red, white and light gray plaid scarf. A scarf is an imperative accessory in the Midwest during the winter (and fall, spring and occasionally summer).

This Fashionista was ready to take on a day of classes comfortably without appearing to have just rolled out of bed. Well, maybe she did, maybe she didn’t. We will never know. Follow in her footsteps when you are looking for a relaxed class outfit.

One Simple Change: Trade the scarf for a statement necklace and the boots for suede wedges. Now you’re prepared for a class presentation! Not only will you kill the presentation, but your outfit will be killer as well.
