WHAT TO WEAR: Class

January 29th, 2015 at 2:00am

In blistering cold weather when all you want to do is hit snooze and stay curled up in your blankets, it can be easy to let your style go out the door. This Fashionista, however, braves sweater weather in an olive green and velvet fur parka on her way to class. The coat is a nice change from the all too popular long black The North Face parka. Paired with tough combat boots and extra blue skinny jeans, she looks ready to tackle a day full of syllabi and awkward icebreakers.

This outfit is great for class because she can throw on the coat right before class and add instant fun to her otherwise simple outfit. It’s no fun trying to put together an outfit with your eyes half closed in the morning, so the less effort, the better. The purple-gray velvet fur collar breaks up the jacket and frames her face nicely. The hint of gray from her sweater popping out of her coat pairs well with the other neutral colors in her outfit. The combat boots and silver zippers add some edge to an otherwise sweet, girly outfit. Plus, the casual brown combat boots are perfect for daytime. Extra fur over the velvet fur gives the coat a wintery look. To finish off the look, her hair is pulled back with a black scrunchie to showcase her jacket. This Fashionista’s outfit is comfortable for class, yet still looks polished and stylish. By keeping the rest of her outfit toned down, this Fashionista lets her fabulous coat do all the talking as she walks to class.

One Simple Change: Headed out for a girl’s night out after class? Stay warm by keeping the jacket and swapping the combat boots for black ankle booties.
