WHAT TO WEAR: Class

February 29th, 2016 at 2:10am

It’s finally warming up after windy days on windy days here in SoCal and by warming up, I mean 90-degree weather abruptly wrecked upon us by the blazing sun. So what are us unprepared girls to do when we anticipated dressing for the breeze a bit longer? First things first—quit mourning the loss of your beloved coats, sweaters and boots because the good news is: you can still make it work in light of changing weather.

If you’re one to crave looking stylish no matter the occasion, whether it be going to school or a gala, the lines are always blurred. Okay, maybe you won’t wear haute couture to class like you would to a gala but nonetheless, you still care to let your classmates and their mamas know who you are without having to open your mouth; you let your outfits speak for themselves.

This chic Fashionista kept it casual yet stylish on her way to class. Her cozy gray cardigan from Zara alludes to a winter that now seems long gone yet is totally apt for those super cold classrooms that induce goosebumps down our spines. Underneath she dons a light gray dress from Lou & Grey, one that would serve perfectly for any occasion whether it be for a long day on campus or for a night out with friends. Looser fitting double jersey dresses are the type of garments you can inexpensively purchase in several colors to make for several varying versatile looks.

You can’t go wrong pairing this outfit, or any outfit for that matter, with a pair of classic black leather booties like this Fashionista did. Black booties have been a trendy staple for quite some time and won’t go out of style any time soon. Although thigh-high’s are now also making their rounds as one of this year’s top trends, leather booties will have your back better than any guy can or will because you can literally wear them with anything. This Fashionista also chose to top her look off by accessorizing with a silver hand chain and a triangle drop necklace to match.

One Simple Change: In college we rarely have the privilege of owning a big enough closet to fit all our clothes in, so we have to reuse and revamp our outfits somehow, right? To go from day to night, opt for a more form fitting, edgier coat like a leather jacket to turn this outfit from school appropriate to one for a night out in town.
