WHAT TO WEAR: Class

March 4th, 2016 at 2:00am

Winter in Chicago has been fairly warm compared to previous years, and we DePaul students have been taking advantage of the weather. Since the temperatures are relatively enjoyable, there are less puffier coats around campus. But regardless of the weather conditions, DePaul students like to stay comfortable and chic. With this in mind, this Fashionista caught my eye with her subtle accessories and burgundy color theme.

This Fashionista is ready to tackle classes in her comfy outfit. The burgundy anorak provides protection from the wind, and the loose fit keeps the look casual. The denim jacket underneath plays off the longer length of the anorak, while adding a nice pop of blue. In contrast, the striped shirt adds a subtle pattern to the look, breaking up the solid colors. At the same time, the fitted cut of the shirt keeps the jackets from overwhelming the look as a whole.

For bottoms, black denim with rips in the knees is the name of the game. By adding a neutral element to the look, this Fashionista was able to play with colors and the patterns up above. Boots are a winter staple, and they complement the anorak to give the outfit unity. She finished off the look with dainty earrings and statement rings. While the accessories were minimal, this Fashionista proved that mixing gold and silver rings and earrings are a must-do.

One Simple Change: Did you just finish a long day of classes? Get ready for your girl’s night out by ditching the anorak and denim jacket combo for a biker-inspired leather jacket.
