It’s no secret that the life of a college student is a stressful one. Tests, projects, meetings—and of course, class. It’s no wonder we’re always tired! This combination of being both busy and exhausted leaves us looking for quick, comfortable outfits that we can throw on when we’re on the go. The trick is managing to make these outfits fashionable. But how?

Enter athleisure, the term given to the ever growing athletic apparel trend. Athletic apparel is no longer just for the gym! It has graced both the runways and the streets, as well as having become a look closely associated with A-list celebs such as Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne. Athleisure has truly become a staple on the streets leaving college students everywhere rejoicing. Sneakers, leggings and sports bras—they’re all the rage right now.

While some people still remain skeptical about the athleisure look, this Fashionista rocks it. Her white Nike top, lululemon cropped leggings and trendy New Balance kicks give her an easy, effortless look. She casually tied a jacket around her waist and accessorized with a classic pair of sunglasses, a gold watch and a Kendra Scott necklace and ring.

The key to pulling off the athleisure trend is reaching a happy medium. Athleisure doesn’t have to mean rolling out of bed and throwing on a pair of sweats! This Fashionista’s look worked because it had balance. She combined pieces from traditional athletic wear brands such as Nike and lululemon with cute streetwear basics such as her sunglasses and jewelry.

One Simple Change: For a casual weekend brunch or dinner, swap the athletic top with an oversized sweater or flannel shirt for a comfy but chic look.
