WHAT TO WEAR: Campus Captured

For the past month, Syracuse has been undergoing some highs and lows when it comes to the weather. I have experienced wonderful sunny days of 50 degrees where students’ hopes skyrocket with, “Oh, it’s only going to get hotter from here then.” No, that rarely is the case. I guess with global warming (yes, it’s real) and the coming of spring, the weather in Upstate New York gets more unpredictable than usual. Days begin cold and as they progress it becomes much hotter, and vice versa. For some, it gets complicated choosing what to wear for their doings on campus when you want to master a weather that develops trust issues. Luckily, this Fashionista was well prepped to make heads turn (like mine did) for a sunny to gloomy day.

I saw her on my way to class, so I couldn’t shoot her. Nevertheless, destiny was on my side and this grunge-inspired look crossed my eyes once again. Strolling around campus, this ‘Cuse Fashionista kept it cozy with a black, wool denim jacket exuding personality through embroidery and faux fur details. Moreover, a bandana can transform from protecting your ears to keeping your neck warm to making the best out of a bad hair day. Matching a graphic T-shirt with culottes keeps it effortlessly comfortable and casual for class. The look was kept clean with minimal accessories that still scream statement: hoop earrings and a choker. Finally, carrying the dealings for the day, this look was completed with a faux leather backpack.

I hope this helps! Keep campus strutting!
