WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

Fellow Fashionistas/os, it is that time of year where your daily routine transitions from going to class and doing homework to making plans to go to the beach with your friends. We can finally kiss spring goodbye and embrace this warm, sunny weather with open arms. Your transitioning routine mirrors that of your transitioning closet. If you are anything like me, you have already started collecting patterned shorts, flowy blouses and funky sunglasses. Not being able to contain your excitement for the summer or appropriate fashion for it is nothing to be ashamed of! Nothing makes me happier than not having to lug around a heavy coat because of cold temperatures.

Naturally, with this gorgeous weather, one opts to go to brunch outside or have a picnic in either a park or on the beach. In order to dress appropriately for these occasions, there are a few pieces that are essential. This Fashionista wanted to capture the ease and essence of summertime fashion for her brunch date. She went for a loose fitting, white blouse perfect for flowing in the wind. The Fashionista decided to channel her inner bohemian style in this look. Her top incorporates this boho style through both the flowy sleeves and lace detailing. This shirt is perfect for a day or concert look, as it is festival season anyway. Her shirt adds to the overall relaxed feel of the outfit.

The Fashionista went for a pair of ripped jeans to complement her white shirt. The ripped jeans give the look an edge since it is not your traditional blue jean. Her gold jewelry works well with the crisp white color of the blouse and deep denim color of the jeans. Of course, what summer outfit isn’t complete with a pair of gladiator sandals. These sandals are very on-trend this season and can be found in practically any color, print, or height. Whether they are laced up or embellished, these sandals complement any look. With these key items you’ll be the best dressed at your brunch!

One Simple Change: Too hot out to wear jeans this summer? Switch them out for a pair of shorts, denim or colored, that way you are still boho-chic for the warm weather.
