WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

May 5th, 2016 at 2:00am

As the school year winds down and the hours of study time add up it is the perfect time to escape from your flashcards and final projects, dress up and treat yourself to some brunch. This Fashionista knows just how to put together the perfect spring brunch outfit.

This Fashionista’s look is the epitome of classic with its stripes, blazer and color combination of navy and light pink. Her navy ankle boots are great for the spring weather and her stripped skirt is a great staple for any closet. This Fashionista made this look brunch appropriate by adding a blazer to this casual shirt to give the outfit a level of professionalism. The color of this blazer, that matches the colors of the accessories, gives it the perfect balance of fun and serious. The knot at the bottom of the shirt adds a trendy twist to this classic look. This look is made complete with matching light pink accessories, a glittery watch and a charming flower necklace, that are perfectly cohesive with the light colors of spring. Together all these elements combine to create a great look for a fun brunch with friends before the painful trek that is finals week.

One Simple Change: From Sunday brunch to Monday’s 9:15 a.m. final, there is no need to reach for a pair of sweats when you can easily recycle this outfit and make it fit for class. Just swap out the striped skirt for some skinny jeans and you have a great power outfit to show off for your last day of class!
