WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

Hey Fashionistas/os! Welcome to my first official article (besides my STYLE GURU BIO) ever to hit CollegeFashionista! I’m excited to do this one because not only is this my first article, but this is my first real experience I’ve had with taking pictures of random Fashionistas/os at Middlesex County Community College!

Summer classes are now in full swing at Middlesex County Community College. You’d think since it’s summer that everyone would have run off to resorts and lavish getaways, but they are still here on campus! Along with these classes has come the laziness of getting ready to go to them, but this Fashionista proved me wrong!

This Fashionista was walking right by the bookstore on a hot summer day at MCC when I stopped her to take pictures. She’s wearing a sleeveless tank top, cuffed semi-ripped jeans and a black zipped detail bucket bag. Lately, I’ve been doing the same trend she has captured in her outfit with the cuffed jeans. Since it is still basically spring, knowing what the weather is going to do is always a hassle. This is especially true in New Jersey where it has been cold, rainy and even super hot. Along with the items mentioned, this Fashionista is also wearing sunglasses with flash tattoos wrapped around her arm. This Fashionista took things like her flash tattoos that people normally don’t wear and made them stand out in her back to school outfit.

It is always best when going back to school to be comfy because you are most likely going to walk around in this outfit for the whole day. Not only does this Fashionista look comfy but she looks super laid back and stylish, too! Remember: sidewalks will always be a runway no matter what season it is!

One Simple Change: Not only could this outfit be for back to school, but it could also be used for numerous occasions. You could simply wear this outfit if you want to go out to lunch or spend time with friends. Instead of wearing regular flat sandals, you could dress up this outfit by pairing it with sandals that have a little bit of a heel or a black leather jacket for a night time look. Though in my personal opinion, black leather jackets go best all the time!
