WHAT TO WEAR: Back To School

While most college students are mourning with summertime sadness, I couldn’t be more excited to get back into the classroom for my final fall semester. Some things I’m looking forward to are catching up with my friends after a busy summer, my 21st birthday, tailgating and football games. Another high point of the season will be, of course, the fashion. Denim and layering are my two favorite components for dressing for chilly weather, which is why this Fashionista’s style speaks to me.

Fall weather in Northeast Ohio can be unpredictable—sun, rain and even snow can all make an appearance in a single day. In other words, layering is super important. Plus, it’s good to be prepared if you’re going to be on campus all day. This Fashionista sports a basic striped T-shirt underneath a lightweight cardigan. Too hot? Just tie your cardigan around your waist. If you’re holding on to summer for dear life, distressed denim will be sure to give you a relaxed beach vibe. I love this pair from American Eagle. Her dainty tortoise Ohio bauble is a perfect touch for Fashionistas who want to show off state school pride, but prefer neutral toned clothing. Finally, she completes her look with flat sandals for comfort.

To my fellow seniors (or anyone itching to be done with school): keep in mind that we will work for the rest of our lives. Enjoy your freedom, the ability to meet new people within the bubble that is your college campus and keep yourself motivated. I have loved writing for CollegeFashionista these past few months. Here’s to another RAD semester!

One Simple Change: To turn this outfit into a Day to Night look, swap your flats for mules and opt for a darker lip color.
