When I hear the word “summer,” I automatically think the beach, ice cream, floral print, short clothing, hot, sweaty, and so on. This summer calls for bright and light colors like pastels or intricate patterns! Fashion is not always about following trends, but it is about finding a style that describes who you are and how you let others perceive you. This Fashionisto’s bold, retro style captured my attention. I felt nostalgic because it reminded me of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, whom I’m sure most are familiar with.
This Fashionisto is wearing a bold Hawaiian print button down shirt which first caught my eye. It is very loose and lightweight making it an essential item for these hot summer days! I do not know about you guys, but I would dread having to wear a black long sleeve shirt when it is about 109 degrees outside. You can totally purchase something similar to this at your local thrift shop for way less as well as some ankle cropped slacks like his. The perk about shopping at thrifts is that you never have to worry about someone else owning the same garments as you because almost every piece found is unique, vintage, and retro!
To finish off his look, he wore some cream high top Converse sneakers, which are part of a collab with high end street wear brand Commes Des Garcons. These sneakers are a must have because they’re a bit cuter than the normal white high top sneakers due to the little signature heart design.
