Kanye West is a man of few words (except for his occasional musical explicates) but the man manages to say a lot with his style. Aside from his re-work of Kim’s wardrobe (she really needed it) he has recently launched a collaboration with adidas named “Yeezy”.
The Yeezy fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection really inspired me. I don’t know if it was the armor-esque vests or the black body suits, but this rugged street collection is pure perfection (cheesy rhyme intended) and keeps me wishing I could afford the $2,000 price tags that comes along with it.
Though nude briefs, sheer bras and tights are typically inappropriate to classify as “clothing” for everyday wear, I did appreciate West’s effort. I instead interpreted his message as more minimalistic and urban, so I added a dash of Kardashian (Kylie for the lips and Khloe for the flannel) to give the look a more relatable edge.
This dress could be styled in many different ways, which is another task West accomplishes with this collection: versatility. It would look great paired under a leather moto jacket or even with a fur vest. Many of his pieces work well with each other because of how he emphasizes monochromatic color schemes and layering. Paired under a gray hoodie with a set of killer knit kicks, this dress would definitely be worthy of the Yeezy stamp of approval.
