Hey there, Fashionistas/os! Today I want to tell you a little about my own personal style and how this particular look was inspired by the Mara Hoffman line in the resort 2016 runway show. According to the review on Style.com, the clothing in the Mara Hoffman line was described as vibrant and kaleidoscopic. In addition, this collection is a “palatable mix of Hoffman’s ‘greatest hits’ and easy, eclectic new basics.” Mara Hoffman liked to incorporate a lot of vibrant patterns into her line making for a fun and exciting runway show.
In particular, my look was inspired by Mara Hoffman’s 10th runway outfit. For this look Mara Hoffman paired a black tank top with a pair of patterned high-waisted shorts. Not only does the fitted black top complement the cut of her shorts but the top emphasizes the black colors found in the pattern of her shorts as well. Similarly, I chose to wear a shorter white shirt and a pair of vibrant blue high-waisted shorts. Here, the cut of my shirt complements my shorts while the white color of my shirt highlights the white colors in my patterned shorts. Finallly, Mara Hoffman’s look was completed with a pair of simple strappy sandals. Correspondingly, I chose a pair of silver sandals to finish off my look as well.
