STYLE GURU STYLE: Thigh-High Club

Life in the fashion world is crazy-hectic right now. We’ve got New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Milan and finally Paris. When does it end!? I swear every week of the year seems to be fashion week. As crazy as it may get, we should be grateful for the plethora of inspiration coming at us from every direction.

I nearly passed out while gazing at Alberta Ferretti’s fall 2016 ready to wear collection. Every single fabric in the collection looks so delicious. I just want to wrap myself up in all the pieces. The way all the silks, lace and organza drape on the body and hang with such a natural shape is breathtaking (literally). I’m still day dreaming about this cream silk maxi, if only it was in my closet. And, as if the fabrics weren’t enough, Ferretti’s collection color pallette is everything. Think the perfect collection of neutrals with rusty pinks, light grays and multiple shades of brown.

My look was inspired by the strong feminine feel from Alberta Ferretti’s collection. However feminine the collection, Ferretti made sure to keep her looks edgy with body hugging designs and the occasional sheer fabric. I wanted to make my floral slip a little more edgy in a similar way. Layering this long sleeve mock neck adds character to the slip, and I love the way the keyhole cut out sticks out. These lace-up boots are the edgiest piece in this outfit. They really help to tone down the feminine theme.

Get My Look: 1. Floral slip. 2. Mock neck top. 3. Lace-up boots.
