It’s always emphasized that style is personal and unique, but there are some trends that are unspoken classics. They have lasted through the ages with minor tweaks to include the latest trends and are accepted by everyone. One such look is the jeans and white T-shirt look. Fashion magazines always seem shocked when a celebrity or fashion icon is wearing jeans and a white T-shirt, but why? It’s guaranteed to look good and should be an outfit in anyone’s closet. J.Crew displays this iconic trend in their spring 2015 ready-to-wear runway collection. While the collection included a variety of styles from complex cuts and bold colors, they also had pieces for more everyday-wear. I was particularly fond of this look because J.Crew adds flare to the jeans and white shirt look by using a shirt with golden buttons and heels. The looser-fit pants, similar to a boyfriend-cut pant, carry the theme of relaxed style. It is an outfit that can be successfully replicated by many.

I chose to create a similar look because I am a huge fan of the ever-popular trend. As most choose to do, I added personal style to the blue jean and T-shirt look by accessorizing. And why not accessorize a classic look with a classic print? I chose leopard-print loafers because they added a fun element to the outfit. Finished off with gold accessories and a gold clutch, the outfit was still a basic piece, but ithad elements to make it more exciting and self-expressive.
