The cold hard truth of winter is upon us, and temperatures are on the down low. The verdict is wind, snow and freezing air, but that shouldn’t stop the fashion. Winter is sticking around for a while and it’s time to pump up your outerwear style! Zip up your coats and tighten your boots, because winter is here!

The essentials of this season are a warm coats, a scarf full of character and strong boots. For coats, I displayed the parka style, which is long, simple, and full of warmth. These coats have a shielded material that protects from harsh winds and precipitation. Besides the durable functions the coat gives of a chic simplicity. This coat is plain, but it can be easily spiced up with vivid scarf.

Scarves are the shining stars of outerwear. I adore scarves, because of the different vibes they can add to a simple coat. For example, a colorful patterned scarf can give off an energetic feel or a simple nude knit can present a sophisticated look. Either way they are the highlight of winter.

When walking around campus during the winter months, boots are strong necessities. Durable boots are a must when it comes to snow and salt covered sidewalks. I love these ankle boots because they are a superior source of my winter walks. This ankle boot style gives off an authentic addition to an outfit. Ankle boots can be worn with leggings, tights or skinny jeans with a pair of folded mid-calf socks.

Get My Look: 1. A parka coat. 2. A patterned scarf. 3. ankle boot  4. Mid-calf socks.
