STYLE GURU STYLE: That '70s Outfit

Juicy Couture’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection took a blast to the past with ’70s-inspired fashion. The mix of neutral and bold colors with patterns and solids creates the perfect ensemble for that bohemian look we all love. Every outfit in this collection appeared so chic, yet so simple. Who knew Juicy Couture could change from velvet tracksuits to carefree fashion?

Coming across this collection felt like fate to me. It represented everything I love in fashion— colors, patterns and simplicity. The star of my outfit would be my high-waisted, printed pants. The bright colors and detailed paisley pattern make it a great candidate for that ’70s-inspired look. Since I like neutrals to balance out colors, I wore a gray camisole and tied it to the side. Also, the pants are sheer and the camisole is cotton, giving the outfit a 10 on the comfort scale. To keep the ’70s look alive, I wore a pair of semi-rounded sunglasses, which completed the perfect summertime look.

Depending on where you’re going, you can choose from many different shoe options. I chose to wear my Steve Madden strappy heels because I love the extra height it gives me and the nude color works well against my lively pants. If you were not feeling heels for the day, a pair of brown wedges or sandals would match just as well. I wore this outfit to the beach before, so even barefoot looked great! Whatever type of shoe you choose, the free-spirit vibe will always radiate!

Get My Look: 1. High-waisted patterned pants. 2. Neutral tank top. 3. The perfect shoe for you.
