STYLE GURU STYLE: Summer Dressing

What comes to mind when you think of summer dressing? A flowy mini dress that dances with the breeze? Cool shades to block out the sun? A big bag to fit all your weekend essentials? Well folks, that’s exactly what I did this past weekend while enjoying the beach with my family.

Taking inspiration from Isabel Marant’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I wore a printed mini summer dress with black gladiator flat sandals for an easy bohemian feel. I combined this inspiration with the simple and classic feel of a Céline bag featured in any of their runway shows, but you can take a look at their pre-fall 2015 runway show collection just to get a feel.

If you want to get a classic bohemian look, a flowy printed mini dress is always an option. These dresses are constantly being updated with different prints, lengths and textures. To add a bit of trendiness to the look you can look for a floral, tribal, animal print or tie- dyed option this season. Gladiator sandals help create an effortlessly cool look. I also consider these to be a classic boho option for shoes. To complete the bohemian feel, bucket bags are a great addition.

My outfit includes a tan Free People tie-dyed dress with Sam Edelman black gladiator sandals. I finished the look with classic Ray-Ban aviators and my new black with blue interior Mansur Gavriel bucket bag.

Get My Look: 1. Any summer dress 2. Cool, yet simple bucket bag. 3. Classic aviator sunglasses.
