STYLE GURU STYLE: Straight Outta the Runway

Wow, I can’t believe this is my final post of the summer season! It’s been a great couple months writing for CollegeFashionista. Time sure seems to fly. Enjoy these last couple weeks because it’s almost time to put away those flip flops and bring out the coats. Fall semester is approaching, and it is approaching pretty quickly.

However, we’re not done just yet. This look is heavily inspired by the Louis Vuitton’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. In the collection, Vuitton intertwines femininity with edge by using classic girly silhouettes and adding leather accents to the outfits. Embrace the tough side! I swear, these outfitted models could walk alongside Taylor Swift in her “Bad Blood” music video.

I love these high-waisted pleather shorts because they’re comfortable while adding an edge to any outfit. It complements the grayish color palette of the graphic T-shirt. The statement necklace adds sparkle to the look. Of course, to add to the black and white ensemble, I wore my beloved Converse sneakers, which have covered a lot of miles since I first purchased them over six years ago. I always believed its worn-out state added to the Converse aesthetic. Everyone should own their own pair of Converse sneakers. Finally, I threw on one of my favorite hats, a white and black snapback. As a person who frequently says “real talk,” a friend of mine decided that this was a fitting birthday present. Duplicating this look is quick and easy. Most of these items can be found in any of your favorite clothing stores, since they’re such basic pieces. This outfit is perfect for a casual day out when you’re running some errands.
